ISABEL N. RICHTER (nee De Eguia y Milicua) 74, of Cape Porpoise, at home, soared into Light just before dawn on Tuesday 10 November. She is the cherished, much admired and respected mother of Alexander, Katrina, Caroline and Phil. She is survived by three siblings and many relations and friends across Europe and in Bermuda and her family of friends in the USA. She was loved deeply by us all. We especially want to thank the following physicians, nurses, nursing assistants, interdisciplinary, technical and support experts for their outstanding professional care, loving kindness, dedication, respect and gentleness in the exercise of their professional care for our beloved mother over the past 7 years of her valiant, graceful and dignified walk with cancer, and their many kindnesses towards us: Dr Michael J Quigley, Biddeford; Dr Neil Weiner and his Stem Cell Transplant Team at the Department of Hematology and Oncology, Lahey Clinic, Burlington, Massachussets; Dr Kostelnick, Dermatologist; Dr Victor Kim, Thoracic Surgeon at Portsmouth Regional Hospital, New Hampshire; Madeline's Hair Replacement Clinic, Saco; David Rosania, Periodontist, Dover, New Hampshire; Dr Robert Horowitz and Mary, Alan, Cindy and John of Wells Oncology/Cancer Care at York Hospital in Wells; Teresa and Amy of HomeHealth Visiting Nurses at Saco; the Physical Therapy Team at York Hospital in Wells; Dr Robert Horowitz and Carol, Tina, Anna, Elinor, Melissa, Carrie and Shannon of Beacon Hospice, York; Steve and Gary of Prime Care. Our heartfelt gratitude also goes to the monastic community of St Anthony's Franciscan Monastery, Kennebunk for their many masses and for their prayers, love and companioning of our beautiful mother and us. We thank you for making real the daily presence of a loving God. All those who, like us, were blessed with her love, prayers, light, laughter, charm, concern, service, generosity and legendary hospitality are cordially invited to join us in any or all of the following elements in the celebration of her life to be held variously at St Anthony's Franciscan Monastery, 28 Beach Avenue, Kennebunk, 04043, the Arundel Cemetery, Kennebunkport and at her home. Lying in repose and prayer vigil at The Infant of Prague Chapel, St Anthony's Monastery, Kennebunk - 12 noon Friday, November 20 to 10:45AM Saturday, November 21; Stations of the Cross at 5:15 – 5:30 PM Friday, November 20 with the monastic community; Memorial Mass, St Anthony's Monastery, Kennebunk - 11 AM Saturday, November 21. Burial thereafter at Arundel Cemetery, Kennebunkport, immediately followed by a reception at her home. If you cannot join us please unite with us in prayer for our beloved mother.
