PAYMENT POLICY
Effective January 1, 2009
It is our desire to provide the best possible care and attention to those arranging services at our funeral home. In our efforts to assist, we will provide a full itemization of all costs at the time of arrangements on our Statement of Funeral Goods and Services. In order for us to care for the needs as requested, we request prompt payment utilizing one of the following:
CASH DISBURSEMENTS are those charges of others involved in the provision of the service and may include such items as cremation fees, honoraria (i.e. clergy, organist, soloist, etc.), certified copies of death certificate, newspaper notices, etc. As a courtesy, we arrange for these services which require payment at the time of rendering. In order to ease the burden of having to write numerous checks, you are required to make out one check directly to the cemetery for the cemetery services and another check written to the funeral home for the remaining Cash Disbursements. We will distribute the funds as required for you.
PAYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
For TRADITIONAL, MEMORIAL AND GRAVESIDE SERVICES, 1/3 of Services and Merchandise is due at time of service. 100% of Cash Advancements is due prior to the service. Newspaper items are only estimates at time of contract and additional costs over the estimates will be billed later after the charges are received from newspapers.
For CREMATION ONLY services, the package price plus cash advancements are due prior to cremation.METHODS OF PAYMENT:
Check, cash, Visa or MasterCard payments will be accepted at the time goods and services are provided. A minimum of $500 is required to use a credit card for payment. There will be a 3% processing fee for Cash Advancements paid with a credit card.
Net payment in full is due in 10 days. A grace period of 30 days will be given prior to interest charges being applied. There will be a 1 ½% interest rate charged for outstanding balances over 30 days (18% per annum). In special cases to be determined by the funeral home, where the decedent’s estate must stand the burden of paying the funeral expenses, we would appreciate having the party making the funeral arrangements pay the expenses and then file their claim for reimbursement with the decedent’s estate.PAYMENT SOLUTIONS
