Obituary for Patricia L. Dion (Rodrigue)

Patricia L. (Rodrigue) Dion, 83 of Wells, Maine passed away December 25, 2018 at her home in St. Petersburg after a long battle with cancer. She was the wife of the late Jean L. Dion, who died August 22, 2014.

Pat was born in Sanford, ME on August 26, 1935 and was the daughter of the late Armand and Lillian (Allaire) Rodrigue. She grew up in Sanford, ME attending local area schools and graduated from St. Ignatius High School.

She was an avid Red Sox fan, an active member of the Sanford Elks Lodge and the American Legion of St. Petersburg, as well as a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Wells, ME. She loved to read, enjoyed travel, and enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She spent summers in Wells Beach, ME and winters in St. Petersburg, FL.

Pat is survived by her four sons, Daniel and his wife Claudia of Charleston, SC and their two children Nathan and Marissa; John and his wife Kim of Saco, ME and their four children Donald, Samuel, Katrina and Colin; James and his wife Judith of Wells, ME and their children Joshua, Julian, Jacob and the late Jessica; and Richard and his wife Helena of West Newbury, MA and their two children Madison and Emma; and numerous great-grandchildren. Pat is also survived by her siblings Stella Seavey, Diane Higgins and Richard Rodrigue.

A Memorial Mass will be held Friday, January 4, 2019 at 10 AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 236 Eldridge Road, Wells, ME. Interment will follow at the Southern Maine Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Springvale. Following interment, the family invites friends and relatives to join them for a luncheon at the Elks Lodge located at 7 Elm Street in Sanford.
