Obituary for Marion G. "Sally" Mathews (Walbridge)
Marion G. “Sally” Mathews, 90 years of age, died Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at her residence following a short illness.
Marion was born May 30, 1932 in Claremont, NH, a daughter of Everett and Goldie (Davis) Walbridge and attended Berwick schools.
In 1956 she married her late husband, Harry Mathews and enjoyed 63 years of marriage until his death in 2019.
Sally worked at the Blouin Factory in Rollinsford, NH as an assembler and was a dedicated homemaker for many years raising her large family. Sally enjoyed cooking, teaching ceramics, reading and spending quality time with family and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband Harry N. Mathews, and by a brother, Evan Jenkins.
Survivors include her sons, Stanley Welch and wife Chong Suk of LA, Nelson Mathews of Berwick and William Mathews and wife Chong Min of Lebanon, ME; daughters, Pamela Parent and husband Phil of Berwick, ME, Paula Gagnon and husband Wayne of Berwick, ME and Brenda Green and husband Jon of Eliot, ME; sisters, Rita Gagne of Rochester, NH and Thelma Milligan of Northern Maine; 16 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held from 10-11AM on Monday, September 26, 2022 at Bibber Memorial Chapel, 62 Cemetery Road, Berwick where a Memorial Service will follow at 11AM. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
