The very essence of Joe was love and service to others. He was kind, thoughtful, caring, and helpful to the ultimate. I can't remember a time in our Adult Education program that Joe wasn't there to support us, work his heart out for us, and always make sure our graduations and other endeavors were perfect. I honor and respect this man. His good deeds will be with remembered by hundreds because he touched all of those came in contact with him in such positive ways

Joe was always there for me in high school – since he’d known my dad since my dad was a kid, he always watched out for me, and I loved swinging by his office to say hi and chat for a few minutes. Joe also always went above and beyond for my class ('08). He stepped in to help us during homecomings, class events, and class trips. He did that for other classes, too. He was like everyone's unofficial class adviser. Joe was a true Tiger, and he had a wonderful heart and sense of humor. I'll miss him and think of him fondly for many years to come.
