She had a great artistic eye for the visual arts and she used it also in her gardening activities. She had a way of bringing people together. We often ate lunch together in the tiny teacher's room above Kay Cox's office. Barbara offered advice and encouragement when I needed it, which was often! Her calm nature and ready smile were always a source of comfort. She often had fresh raspberries in her lunch!

Condolence: My wife Pam and I didn't know Barbara well but our New England roots recently crossed paths at Harmony Island in Vero Beach, Florida. Barbara was in charge of the landscape committee for the Harmony Condo Association and she was a most energetic, knowledgeable, creative, and engaging personality.
