Obituary for Thomas James Timothy "Tim" Stapleton
Thomas James Timothy Stapleton, 77 of Ray Mary Lane in Wells, husband of Jean Stapleton went home to be with the Lord on March 30, 2019. He was born on May 14, 1941 in Charlestown, MA, son of Lillian and Thomas Stapleton.
Tim joined the Navy at age 17, where he was a fire control mechanic for four years. Tim worked as a driving instructor and later a mason before marrying his wife, Jean, in 1966. After being employed by the Boston Navy Yard, he moved to Maine with his family in 1974 when the Boston Navy Yard closed. Tim worked at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard until 1992 as a maintenance worker.
Tim was a lover of nature enjoying hunting, fishing and quiet walking with dog and children. He was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan. He enjoyed sharing his treasures with family and friends.
Tim was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Mary Danieli of MA.
Tim loved his family and is survived by his wife of 53 years, Jean; son, Tim and his wife, Melissa and his grandchildren, Mitchel and Tyler Stapleton; daughter, Tara and her husband, Jason Humphrey; son, Michael, all living in the Wells, Ogunquit area; as well as many nieces, nephews and in-laws.
The burial service will be private.
