Obituary for Angela Byrnes
Angela Byrnes, 88, of Dover, NH, passed away on December 1, 2021. Angela was born in Brooklyn, NY in 1933 to Joseph and Kate (Triolo) Pinelli. She graduated from Grover Cleveland High School in 1950. Once Angela married, she moved to Cape Elizabeth, Maine where she raised her 3 children, Bruce, Brian and Lisa. Before retiring, Angela worked at Blue Cross Blue Shield and eventually moved to Dover, NH to be closer to her daughter and family in 2015.
Most commonly known for her quick wit, sarcastic sense of humor, and her undeniable strength, Angela was also known for her talent as an actress, receiving the Best Actress of Maine award in 1975. The most important part of Angela’s life was her family, rarely missing an Italian Sunday dinner at her daughter’s house. Angela had great passion for theater, stage makeup, gardening, and loved spending time with her dogs, Meme and Coco.
Angela was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Kate Pinelli, her brother Santo Pinelli, and her son Brian Byrnes.
Angela is survived by her son, Bruce Byrnes, his wife Sheila of Buxton, Maine and daughter, Lisa Valhos, her husband Nicholas of Berwick, Maine, her four grandsons; Brandon Jeralds, his wife Isabella, Anthony Jeralds, his wife Nichole, Bradford Byrnes, Mathew Byrnes, his wife Jenelle and a granddaughter, Alana Jeralds. Angela also had four great-grandchildren; Camden Jeralds 7, Liam Jeralds 4, Theo Jeralds 1, and Brynlee Byrnes 2.
There will be a Celebration of Angela’s life on Saturday, Dec 18th from 3:30 - 6:00 pm. The celebration will be held at the Arbor Woods Community Center, 1 Cielo dr, Dover, NH
The burial for Angela will be held in the spring.
