Arthur Mason Tarbox Jr, 69, a resident of Berwick died Sunday at Wentworth Douglass Hospital in Dover following a brief illness.
He was born June 6, 1951 in Saco, the son of Arthur Mason and Maxine E. Junkins Tarbox, Sr, and graduated from Thornton Academy in Saco.
Arthur was employed at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard as a supply clerk for 30 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed taking his boat out on the many ponds in the area to go fishing, and was a member of Bass Masters.
His family remembers him for his practical jokes and infective sense of humor.
He was the husband of Nancy Plante Tarbox of Berwick, his mother Maxine Tarbox of North Berwick, son Shawn Tarbox of Portland, a stepson James Patrick Jr. of Concord, NH, daughter Lianne Smith and her husband Dan of Rochester,
IL, and stepdaughter Cathy Patrick of Dover NH, his sister Linda Cheetham of MA, 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held 11 AM Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at Evergreen Cemetery, Cemetery Rd, Berwick.
