Obituary for Barbara Anne Hill
Barbara Anne (Camp) Hill, 84, a native of Middletown, Connecticut, and resident of Kennebunk, Maine, passed away on July 1, 2022, just a few weeks shy of her 85th birthday.
Barbara was preceded in death by: her first husband, Richard W. Shillington; her late husband Allen F. Hill; her parents Clarence and Florence Camp; and her identical twin sister Bertha LaPointe.
Barbara is survived by: her son Kurt Shillington of Arundel, ME; her daughter Karen Lawrence of Union City, CA; her step-son Martin Hill of Daytona, FL; her Grandson’s – Connor Shillington, Brandon Lawrence and Jason Tucker (Anna); and her Great-Grandchildren – Jacob and Layla Tucker; her niece and nephew, Susan LaPointe Slemmer (Kirk) and Steven LaPointe (Karen) and her Great-Nieces, Danielle and Nicole Lapointe and Gabriella Rivera.
Barbara loved her family and loved life. She always had a smile on her face and would light up any room she walked into. Barbara enjoyed reading, puzzles and playing games and cards, especially with her grandchildren. Barbara loved the beach where many summers were spent, and countless memories were made with family and friends!
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date at St. David’s Episcopal Church, 138 York Street, Kennebunk, ME 04043.
