Charles Thomas “Chuck” Roberts, 59, of Wells, formerly of Canton, MA, died Friday, October 2, 2020 at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. He was born in Norwood, MA on October 21, 1960, a son of Richard Arthur Roberts, Sr., and Mary Cecelia (Tyrrell) Roberts. Chuck grew up in Canton, graduating from Blue Hills Regional High School. Following high school, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he served as a helicopter mechanic, servicing the CH-46 Sea Knight. Following his discharge from active duty, Chuck returned to Canton, Mass. He later moved to Maine in 1986.

For many years, he was a clerk in the Emergency Room at York Hospital. Chuck enjoyed hunting, fishing, softball, football, and hockey. He looked fondly back on his time coaching peewee football; but mostly, he enjoyed spending quality time with his extended family.

Chuck is survived by his life partner, Julie Cloutier of Wells, ME. He is also survived by extended family that will remember him as they referred to him as their “Grumpy”. He will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and former teammates.

Bill & Karen - we are so very sorry for you loss. We were just talking about Chuck yesterday and reminiscing about when Greg and Chuck went moose hunting in Ashland 20+ years ago, and how Chuck and Mike used to come into Greg's tackle shop and swap fishing stories. Chuck will be missed. We hope happy memories will provide you some comfort during this sad time. Much love to you and all the Roberts family. Greg & Ginny
