Obituary for Charlotte Rita Harris

Charlotte Rita Harris of Kennebunk, formerly of Hartford, CT, passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at Sedgewood Commons in Falmouth after a brief battle with cancer. She was 76 years old.
Charlotte was born May 13, 1946, in Hartford, CT, the daughter of Jesse Walter and Jane E Belanger McLean.
She was employed as a veterans advocate with the Veterans Administration in Hartford for 20 years.
A creative person, she loved to cross stitch, refinish and paint furniture, make hooked rugs, and create needle felted decorations. Quietly generous toward friends and family, she had a special place in her heart for veterans and a great love of dogs. Some of her greatest joys were traveling and her three grandchildren.
Charlotte is survived by her husband Theodore A Harris of Kennebunk, a daughter Jessica Hart and son-in-law David Hart of Fryeburg, three grandchildren, Nathaniel, Thea and Noah Hart, and three sisters Barbara McLean, Alexis McLean and Rita Toller. She was predeceased by her brothers Thomas and James W. McLean.
