Obituary for Cindy L. Welch
KENNEBUNK
Cindy Lee Welch, 61, of Kennebunk, ME, passed away Friday evening, July 29, 2022 at York Hospital following a brief but courageous battle with cancer with her family at her side.
Cindy was born in Biddeford on October 1, 1960, the daughter of Elton (Skeeter) and Betty (Vinton) Welch. She attended local schools, graduating from Kennebunk High School Class of 1979.
She was a beloved mother and grandmother, who cherished the time spent with her grandchildren.
Cindy made a career of serving others, working at many well-known establishments including Forefathers, Bartley’s Dockside Diner, Blue Moon Diner, Arundel Diner, manager of housekeeping at Bentleys, and most recently was a server at the Bull and Claw in Wells.
Survivors include her son, Chris Welch, and his wife, Stevie, of Kennebunk, ME; her daughter, Amanda Ramsdell, and her husband, Austin, of Sanford, ME; three sisters, Terry Leach of Alfred, ME; Vickie Feeley, of Florida and Sandra Brooks, of Arundel, ME; and her two grandsons, Calvin and Wesley Welch.
A celebration of Cindy’s life will be held 2 PM Sunday, August 21, 2022 at 339 Alfred Road, Kennebunk, ME 04043.
