Obituary for Craig W. Sheing

Wells, ME

Craig W. Sheing, loving husband, father, brother, brother in law and friend died peacefully on Friday, February 7, 2020 at his home with his family.

Craig was born in Plainfield, NJ on November 14, 1957, the son of Elizabeth Williams and George Milton Sheing. After serving in the US Navy, he relocated to New Hampshire.

He was married for 31 glorious years to his wife Dee, together they raised 3 amazing sons. In 1988 the family extended to include a fourth son.

Prior to his disability in 2005, Craig worked for Pratt & Whitney in North Berwick as a welder.

Craig was a member of Ocean Lodge # 142, AF & AM in Wells. He enjoyed fishing, especially striper trips with his sons. He was very passionate about outdoor grilling, going to the movies, and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife Dee Donlon Sheing, Sons Adam Griffin and his significant other Danielle Kaitz from Iowa, Eric (Ricky) Sheing and Max Sheing both of South Portland and Phil Taylor of North Hampton, NH, two brothers Chris Sheing and his wife Judy, and Curt Sheing and his wife Jill, all of Rochester, NH, special cousins Ellie Plumer of California and George Cull of NJ, many close family members and friends including in-laws, nieces and nephews whom he adored, and his furry companions, Biscuit, Forrest, and Hambone.

Craigs family would like to express their thanks to Dr. Joel Keenan and Hospice of Southern Maine for their outstanding care for Craig.

Visiting hours will be held 5 -7 PM Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at Bibber Memorial Chapel, 111 Chapel Rd, Wells, with a Masonic Memorial Service at 7 PM with the Brethren of Ocean Lodge # 142 officiating. A memorial service will be held 11 AM Thursday, February 13, 2020 at the Chapel, with Reverend Burton Howe officiating.
