Obituary for Deborah Jean Lane (Beaudoin)

Deborah Jean Beaudoin Lane, a resident of Kennebunk, Maine, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Durgin Pines in Kittery, Maine from Parkinsons and Sarcoma Cancer on July 10, 2022.
Deborah was born June 13, 1947 in Winchester, Mass., the daughter of Francis and Domenica Beaudoin. She was raised in Reading, MA and graduated from Reading High School in 1965. She was also a graduate of Newbury School of Business in Boston.
While working at Houghton Mifflin Publishing Co., she met her future husband, John. They married in 1970 and were married for 51 years.
In 1972 they moved to Georgetown, MA where Deborah successfully ran her silk flower and plant business used for decorating homes and businesses. She was a talented decorator and could turn a room into a spectacular and beautiful room.
John and Deborah moved to Kennebunk, ME in 1992, when John purchased an accounting practice. While in Maine, Deborah worked at the Shawmut Inn, Kennebunkport as the wedding coordinator. She then became the co-owner of the Fisherman’s Catch Restaurant in Wells and later Lucas on Nine Restaurant in Cape Porpoise.
Deborah had a strong impact on those who knew her. She was always a fashion statement. Most of all she had a vivacious and loving personality and was someone who you wanted to be close to.
Deborah is survived by her husband John, son Jonathan and his wife Sarah of North Berwick and daughter Corey of Porter. She is also survived by her sister Michelle and her husband George, sister Pamela and her husband Fran, sister-in-law Barbara and her husband Chris and a brother-in-law Kurt. Her many nieces and nephews include Franci, Ryan, Patrick, Mikhail, Justin, Karl and Brenda. She was predeceased by her parents, son Lucas and a sister-in-law Linda.
Deborah’s family will receive friends, Thursday, July 14, 2022, 5 to 8 PM at the Bibber Memorial Chapel, 67 Summer St. Kennebunk, ME. A private burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Kennebunk.
