Obituary for Dorothy L. Turcotte

BERWICK Dorothy L. Turcotte, 83, a longtime resident of Berwick passed away Saturday, March 12, 2022, at Watson Fields in Dover following a decade long decent into Alzheimer’s Disease.

Dorothy was born June 8, 1938, in Dover, NH, the daughter of Bernard and Louise Matthews Livingston, and attended Berwick schools.

She married Martin August Turcotte on September 29, 1956, and they made their home in Berwick.

Always a hard worker, she was employed for 15 years with the Berwick Elementary School hot lunch program, worked as a housekeeper at Wentworth Douglass Hospital in Dover for 15 years, and sold Avon in the community for many years.

She was a communicant of Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church, and was active when it was located in Berwick, helping with the Whist Card Tournaments and other parish events. Dorothy loved to spend time at her camp on Great East Lake, which she did every year since she was 8 years old.

She is predeceased by the love of her life, Martin “Marty” Turcotte, and her grandson Alex Paul Robidas.

Survivors include her children Martin A. Turcotte Jr and his wife Victoria of North Berwick, Timothy T. Turcotte and his wife Sonia of Berwick, Pamela Maurice and her husband Michael of Berwick, and Linda Robidas and her husband Paul of Somersworth, NH. Nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

An hour of visitation will be held 1-2 PM Saturday, March 19, 2022, followed by a funeral service at 2 PM at Bibber Memorial Chapel of the Berwicks, 62 Cemetery Road, Berwick with Deacon David Divins officiating. Spring Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Berwick.
