Obituary for Elnora Gladys "Ellie" Barron

Elnora G. Barron, 89, of June Street died on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at her home in Summer Commons. She was born January 20th, 1934, in Lisbon Falls, ME, the daughter of Leroy and Ethel (Coolidge) Woodcock.

Ellie had many great loves throughout her years. Her younger years were spent dancing and sharing her hobby of CB rendezvous, going fishing and taking walks in the woods (she loved nature). She loved going for rides in the mountains or by the beach. Over the years, she cared for numerous animals, including her spider monkey, Scamp; her favorite dog, Shadow (although she had several); her many cats, chickens, and ducks; her beloved turkey, Turk-Turk; her goat, Eve; her horses, Flame & Misty; and the list goes on, LOL!!

She was very proud that, while raising seven children, she managed to finish High School and go on to achieve her CNA Certification.

She will be greatly missed by many for her unpredictable sense of humor and her love of life.

Elnora (Ellie) is predeceased by her parents; her husband, Emerson Barron; and three of her children – Maxine Lucas, Lester Barron and Tyrone Barron.

She is survived by her daughter, Doreen Bailey, and her husband, Brian; her son, Dwight Barron, and his wife, Daisy; her son, David Barron; and her daughter, Laura Barron, and her husband, Tony Chambers. She also was blessed with SEVERAL grandchildren & great-grandchildren.
