Obituary for James Phillip Bridges

James P. Bridges, 60, of Greenville and Springvale Maine. Passed away unexpectedly on December 31st, 2023.

Jim was born on September 7th, 1963, in Biddeford, The youngest son of Casper and Marie Bridges. He grew up on Drakes Island Rd. in Wells, ME. He did carpentry and finish work for many years throughout his life. He lived and worked up in Seboomook, ME for several years running the store and campground, which he loved. When his parents became ill he moved back to Wells to help care for them. Which he did until their passing. The last few years he has lived between Springvale and Greenville staying with family in the winter in Springvale and summers were in Greenville. He did caretaking and odd jobs in Greenville, for many of his neighbors.

Jim was a very humble person, and he had a great outlook on life. He loved the outdoors, nature and living life simply. He was someone that you could talk to for hours or just sit in silence and be content. Jim was very much a conspiracy theorist, "Go Trump!" That was always a great conversation. You could always find him outside puttering or on down time enjoying reading, puzzle books, watching sports, and good older movies.

Jim is survived by his siblings, Richard (Melinda) Libby of Wells, Laurie Boudreau (Richard Charland) of Waterboro, Sherry Timberman of Springvale, and Ronald (Marla) Bridges of Sanford; his daughter, Jessica Bridges Norway; his grandchildren, Timmy and Tesla; his nieces and nephews, Angela, Marci, Shauna, Tracy, Gary, his beloved niece and best friend Crystal, Jeffrey, Mandy, Jennifer, Ashley; his great-nieces and nephews, Tucker, Cody, Ethan, Cassandra, Roseanna, Valerie, Calvin, Cameron, Faye, Laya, and Carson; And many, many cousins.

A Celebration of Life Service and Potluck will be held on Sunday, January 28, 2024, at 1:00 PM at the Arundel Lodge Reception Hall on North Street, Kennebunkport. Interment will be in Greenville, ME in the Spring.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Jim's honor may be made to the American Heart Association, PO Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284, or to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
