SACO, ME.

James “Tru” Trufant Fisher, 66, of Saco, died peacefully at his home following a brief illness.

Tru was born in Biddeford, ME on May 3, 1954, the son of James Alvin and Helen Anne Adams Fisher, and is a graduate of Kennebunk High School, Class of 1971. He briefly attended University of Maine in Orono to study forestry, which was his lifelong passion.

He was employed by Royal Smith in Kennebunkport for many years mowing lawns and plowing in the winter.

In his youth Tru enjoyed participating in Boy Scouts and loved to play scrabble.

He is predeceased by his father.

Survivors include his mother Helen Fisher Forrester of Alfred, his sister Diane Bailey and her husband James of Springhill, FL, and a nephew Edward Hutchins of Kennebunkport.

A graveside service will be held 11 AM Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at Arundel Cemetery, Kennebunkport.
