Condolence: Joan will be missed in our little community of Cape Porpoise. She always had a smile on her face and shared words of encouragement whenever I saw her. I enjoyed our visits in the gallery and was happy when she brought in new paintings. She had a talent for capturing our local landscape beautifully and a deep love for her family. I am sorry for your loss.

Condolence: We will miss Joan very much. She was always so kind, engaging and straightforward. It was a pleasure to be with her - around Cape Porpoise, at church, in large or small social gatherings - she was a bright spot. May she rest in peace.

Condolence: No words could define the sense of loss that I feel. Joan always lifted me up; treated me as a sister/daughter/friend when I needed it the most. Glenn and I loved sharing time with Davey and Joan on strange and exciting adventures like skiing. Joan didn't like it but I still have David's smiling face on my "art wall". Joan was an inspriation! She shared time, space, knowledge, and love. I try to walk just a bit in her footsteps.

Condolence: Aly and Family- While I did not have the pleasure of personally meeting Joan, I know from my conversations with Aly what a truly amazing woman Joan was. I just realized I have been admiring her artwork in a local gallery for years! Such talent. A life well lived and I understand well-loved. My very best to each of you on the loss of such an incredible lady.

Condolence: Joan was a terrific lady. I was fortunate that she was a member of my book club. She was gracious and kind. Her intelligent comments about the books we read helped spark our discussions. She welcomed us all into her beautiful home. I really liked and admired Joan. I will miss her. May she be in peace. Ann Levine
