John Burgess 64 passed away at his home on Tuesday, January 14th of cardiac amyloidosis. He is survived by his wife, Carol Burgess (née Parker) 62, and his three children, Molly Burgess 28, Michael Burgess 27, and Hannah Aisling (née Burgess) 25. John was born in Boston, MA on September 30th, 1955 to George F Burgess and Anne Marie Love and lived in Hingham, MA as one of nine siblings. He attended the Commercial Fishing program at the University of Rhode Island and worked as a 3rd generation Steeplejack for over forty years. John was a lifelong sport fisherman, fishing for smallmouth and striped bass whenever he could. John had a big heart and made friends wherever he went and adored his family endlessly. Advice he passed on to his children “keep your stick on the ice!”
