Kathleen Anne  Chick
Kathleen Anne Chick, 59 years, a resident of Wells, Maine formerly of Somersworth, NH died Sunday Morning May 9, 2021 at the Portsmouth Regional Hospital, Portsmouth, NH after a brief illness.

Kathleen was born in Dover, NH on February 21, 1962 the daughter of William W. and Anne (Flanagan) Chick and graduated from Somersworth High School, Somersworth NH and studied computer programming / business at Andover College in South Portland, Me.

In her early years, Kathleen spent summers at her family summer home on Wells Beach and she worked at the Howard Johnson’s Restaurant for several years before she was employed by Billy’s Chowder House. Kathy began her career at Pratt & Whitney as a bench mechanic in January of 1998 and transitioned to the quality department in 2005 where she worked until her illness.

She was avid dog lover, especially her dog RUCKUS and she loved to walk on the beach, along with Ruckus and her husband David. She also enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Kathleen was predeceased by her parents.

Kathleen is survived by her husband and partner for 18 years, David MacKenzie of Wells, David’s parents, Donald W. and Joan A MacKenzie of Wells, who she loved and took care of as she did her own; David’s brother William D. MacKenzie of Tewkesbury and his wife Nanci, who Kathy thought of as the sister she never had; David’s sister, Wendy Aimola and her husband David of Norwood, Massachusetts where they spent many holiday celebrations with Kathleen and her mother Anne.

Kathleen is also survived by many cousins, those especially close to her were, Francis Mailshot of Wells, Karen Ward and husband Mike of Berwick, James Flanagan and wife Sandy of Milton, NH, and Linda Hickey.

Visiting hours will be held from 4 to 7 PM on Friday, May 14, 2021 at the Bibber Memorial Chapel 111 Chapel Road Wells, ME. A private funeral service will be held Saturday May 15, 2021. A graveside service will be held at Ocean View Cemetery, Wells in the Summer of 2021 and will announced by Bibber Memorial Chapel.

Should friends desire memorial donation may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, 383 US Route One, #2C, Scarborough, ME 04074 in memory of her late mother, Anne F. Chick.
