Obituary for Lynn-Del Bryant

WELLS - Lynn-Del (Edstrand) Bryant, 67, of Stanley Pond in Hiram, died Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2022, surrounded by her loving family and appropriately listening to a favorite Robert Frost poem “The Sound of Trees.”

Truly one-a-kind, known to all simply by her first name, Lynn-Del was born in Caribou, Maine, on Dec. 7, 1957, a daughter of the late Rochelle Elizabeth (Pelletier) and Marvin Albin Edstrand. She is also preceded in death by her late brother Mark Thomas Edstrand.

Lynn-Del is survived by her beloved son Jonathan Bryant and his wife Jennifer, of Wells; sister Lori-Lee (Edstrand) Mathews and her husband Kenneth of Sanbornville, NH; nieces Mariah Akers and her husband Jim, of Sanbornville, NH, and Breana Moulton and her partner Jake Shapleigh, of North Berwick; as well as great nieces and nephews, Cooper, Preston, Finn-Lee, and Harper. She is also survived by two daughters, Meredith and Hayley, and a grandson Cash Marconi, whom she loved dearly despite their distance.

Lynn-Del fiercely loved and supported her family and was excitedly looking forward to the birth of her son’s first child this summer.

Lynn-Del was a jack of all trades, graduating from Thomas College in Waterville with a degree in design, and began her career designing retail furniture and store windows for Jordan Marsh department store in Portland, Maine. Lynn-Del enjoyed an eclectic career, including time as a wallpaper hanger when she was known as “The Paper Lady,” and years as a successful real estate agent, business owner, and retail manager. She made friends every step of the way and enjoyed giving back to her community and beyond in a variety of ways, including as a former member of the Rotary Club of Portsmouth and North Conway, NH. Most recently, Lynn-Del found passion as a kitchen and bath designer with her work family at Country Cabinets, in North Conway, NH. After a day at work she enjoyed nothing more than a trip around Stanley Pond on her pontoon boat with her late, dear German Shepherd Tula.

Lynn-Del’s family would like to thank her loving friends (who are too numerous to name) for their endless support throughout her health journey, as well as her friends at Hospice of Southern Maine and MaineHealth Cancer Care, particularly Jill and Susan.

Visiting hours will be held from 4-6PM on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 followed by a funeral service at 6PM at Bibber Memorial Chapel, 67 Summer Street, Kennebunk, ME.
