Michele N. Boston, 80 years of age, of North Berwick, ME and formerly of Catskill, NY, passed away on October 31, 2022.
Michele was born in Catskill, NY on September 27, 1942, to David and Mildred (Van Pett) Horton. She graduated from high school in Catskill, NY and went on to receive her bachelor’s degree from The State University of New York at Albany.
She met Robert “Bob” Boston in Valatie, NY, and they were married on April 17, 1965. They bought one of the first condos in the Pheasant Hill Condo Development in North Berwick, where they were members of the Condo Association. The couple remained happily married until Robert’s death in 2012.
Michele began her career as an educator at Ichabod Crane High School in Valatie, NY. After she moved to North Berwick, ME in 1996, she first taught at Marshwood High School and then at Wells High School. She went on to teach at Marshwood Junior High School until her retirement. She also created the adult education program still running today in Wells, ME.
In addition to teaching, Michele was a Mary Kay representative for 30 years. She also served as ombudsman for southern Maine nusing home issues. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for 60 years, she served as ombudsman for southern Maine nusing home issues, and was also a member of the Cape Neddick Country Club, where her and her husband enjoyed playing golf in their spare time.
Michele is survived by her son, Robert C. Boston, Jr. of Indianapolis, IN; her son, Victor Lewis Boston of Osakis, MN; her sister, Andrea Kearney of New York; her sister, Marlene Kimpel of New York; her five grandchildren; and her three great-grandchildren.
There will be no calling hours. A funeral service for Michele will be held on Monday, November 7, 2022 at 2PM at Bibber Memorial Chapel, 111 Chapel Road, Wells, ME 04090, followed immediately by her interment at Pine Hill Cemetery in Wells, ME.
