Obituary for Robin Trent Kilgore
Robin Trent Kilgore, 68 years, a resident of Berwick, passed away at his residence surrounded by his family and friends, following a long-term illness.
Robin was born in Haverhill, MA on June 7, 1954, a son of Howard W. and Mary “Pat” Patricia (Farley) Kilgore.
He graduated from Noble High School in 1972.
Robin proudly served 11 years in the US Army – 5 of those years as a member of the “bomb squad”. For 18 years he worked at Jones Boys Insulation as an installer and then a salesman.
Robin enjoyed music, woodworking, travel and boating and spending time with friends and family.
He was predeceased by his parents; brothers Mark and Hugh Kilgore and a sister Lori Kilgore.
Survivors include his loving wife, Karen D. Kilgore of Berwick, ME; son Ryan E. Kilgore of Berwick; daughter Kelly J. Shannon of North Berwick; grandsons, Patrick R. Shannon and Thomas E. Shannon of North Berwick, ME; brothers, Brian Kilgore and wife Gerda of Germany, Colin Kilgore and wife Jan of Somersworth, NH, Andrew Kilgore and wife Margaret of Somersworth, NH; sister, Lisa Kilgore of Shapleigh, ME and Martha Kilgore Adjutant and husband Richard of Limington, ME; sister-in-law, Susan Blanchette and husband Bill of Somersworth, NH; brother-in-law Daniel Flint and wife Donna of Sanford, ME, and many nieces and nephews.
There are no visiting hours. A graveside service will be held at 12PM on Monday, May 22, 2023 at the Southern Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Springvale with military honors. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at Rollinsford American Legion, Post #47, 551 Foundry Street, Rollinsford, NH 03869.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Robin’s memory can be made to the American Lung Society of Maine, 122 State Street, Augusta, ME 04330.
