Obituary for Roma Ethyl Pelletier (Hatch)

Roma E. Pelletier, 72 years, a resident of Arundel, died Saturday, October 3, 2020 at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough following a brief illness.

Roma was born February 5, 1948 in Saco, ME, a daughter of Ralph E. and Gertrude (Campbell) Hatch and graduated from Kennebunk High School in 1966.

She worked in the banking industry as a loan officer for Gorham Savings Bank, Rivergreen Bank and Ocean National Bank for many years.

She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Madonna Chapter, #144 and Annette Chapter, #184 and a long-time member of the Kennebunk Baptist Church.

Roma enjoyed flyfishing in the Maine Lakes and especially in Montana. She also enjoyed knitting and spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Robert G. Pelletier of Arundel; a son, Shawn A. Hayes of Arundel, step-children, Charles H. Hayes, Jr., of Biddeford, Penny Hayes of Biddeford, Megan Candace of Kennebunk and Kate Pelletier of Kennebunk; 3 sisters Mary Pendleton of Saco, Caroline Dyer of Bridgton, and Sally Pratt of Old Orchard Beach; and 2 grandchildren, Brianna Lynn Hayes and Elizabeth Marie Hayes.

A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Hope Cemetery, Kennebunk.
