Obituary for Susanto Widjaja
Susanto Widjaja, 61 years, a resident of Berwick, died at his residence on Wednesday, August 3, 2022.
Susanto was born in Cirebon, Indonesia and was the son of Budiman and Muljati Widjaja.
He grew up in Indonesia and attended the Academy Textile Bandung, and moved to the United States in 2007 where he worked as a machine operator.
Susanto enjoyed reading books, swimming, eating seafood, teaching mathematics and playing with his grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Oey Suy Peng, Oey Soey Tek, Oey Soey Kiaw, Oey Tjong Kiat and Oey Tjong Hok.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Fnu Bunga; two sons, Anthon Susanto, Billy Susanto; two daughters, Arllen Susanto and her husband Chamroeun, and Ria Susanto, all of Berwick. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jaydon J Van, Alyson S. Van and Aurora T. Van; sister, Oey Gick Swan and brothers Oey Swie What and Oey Tjong Kie.
Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours from 12-3 pm and 5-8 pm on Friday, August 5, 2022 and 12-3 pm on Saturday, August 6, 2022, with a prayer vigil from 5-8 pm at Bibber Memorial Chapel, Berwick, 62 Cemetery Road, Berwick, ME 03901. A funeral service will be held at 10 am on Sunday, August 7, 2022 at the funeral home, followed by interment at Evergreen Cemetery, Berwick.
