Timothy “Tim” Martel, a native of Biddeford and resident of Kennebunk, passed away peacefully in his sleep on December 5, 2021.
He was preceded in death by his father Albert Thomas Martel, Sr., and brother Ricky Martel.
He is survived by his wife Amy Martel; his daughter Heather Martel; his two step-sons, whom he loved as his own – Mat and Jacob Cyr; his mother Shirley Martel and her partner Linwood Cox; his brothers – Donald Martel Sr. and wife Brenda (Chadbourne) Martel, Ronald Martel, and Tom Martel Jr. and wife Holly (Mosher) Martel; his uncle Dennis who was a second father to him and Aunt Mary Ann (Auger) Martel; his parents-in-law Bob and Gerry Towne; his brother-in-law Ryan Towne; as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Tim worked several jobs before working at Domestiks Cleaning where he met his wife Amy. He then worked at RSU21 in the custodial department. He was proud to work at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard since 2004 as a shipfitter. He spent many years renovating his house with the help of his father-in-law. He enjoyed photography, computers and gaming, but his kids were the most important thing to him.
A visitation will be held at Bibber Memorial Chapel, 67 Summer Street, Kennebunk, on Saturday, December 11 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm. A funeral service, to be officiated by Pastor King of the Kennebunk Baptist Church, will be held at 2:00 pm. If you wish to attend the service via zoom please use this link:
