Obituary for Virginia Aldea Malone

Virginia A. (Stevens) Malone, longtime resident of Rye, N.H., died April 4th, Easter Sunday in Hampton, N.H.

Born in Biddeford, Maine, she was the daughter of the late Rufus Stevens and Edith (Coombs) Stevens. She grew up in Wilmington, Mass, spending her summers in Kennebunk, ME. She graduated from Wilmington High School in 1953. She married in 1954, was a homemaker and subsequently worked in various retail positions, followed by caring for children of working families in her retirement years in the Rye area.

She loved spending time with her family, always making an effort to be present for birthdays, graduations, dance recitals as well as other family gatherings. She loved the beach, yard sales and was an avid cat lover.

Virginia will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her family. She leaves behind her daughters Elizabeth Taylor of Sandown, NH and Dawnna Russell of Portsmouth, NH; grandchildren Jennifer Robles and husband Luis of Hampstead, NH. William Taylor and wife Shana of Haverhill, MA, Jamie Russell and wife Janet of Bristol, NH, Wesley Russell and wife Melissa of Hookset, NH; great grandchildren Elisabeth Robles, Gwen and Kaia Taylor, Ethan, Katie, Aiden and Crystal Russell as well as her nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her four siblings Jean Kolseth, Marjorie Amirault, Rufus Stevens and her baby twin sister Elizabeth Stevens.

Funeral services with burial in Hope Cemetery, Kennebunk, ME will be private.
