Obituary for William F. "Billy" Derham
KENNEBUNK William “Billy” F. Derham, 76, of Kennebunk, died Saturday, May 9, 2020 at the Kennebunk Nursing and Rehabilitation Center following a period of failing health.
Billy was born July 29, 1943 in Biddeford, the son of John William and A. Frances Seavey Derham, and is a graduate of Kennebunk High School, class of 1961. He then went on to attend Portland Museum of Art School for four years, which was a passion he held throughout his life.
He is a veteran of the US Navy, serving active duty in 1967 – 68 as a Bosun’ mate.
Billy was employed as a housepainter in the area for many years, and enjoyed oil painting, hunting and fishing in his free time.
Survivors include his son Todd Derham and his wife Katie of Kennebunk, two daughters Kelly Reuillard and her fiancé’ Glenn Deslauriers of Springvale, and Sarah Frances Derham of Los Angeles CA, five grandchildren and two great grandsons.
Private visiting hours will be held Friday. Friends that wish to attend are asked to message the family to arrange a time. A private graveside service will be held Saturday in Pinegrove Cemetery.
