A true friend....

She was always there...I could tell her anything...and everything...and I did. When they diagnosed Scott's cancer and told me he only had days to live, Jane was the first person I called. For 15 minutes I yelled and cried on the phone to her...she cried too. They were very close. A few minutes later I picked up the phone and there was no dial tone. I could hear someone sniffing....it was her. I said I'm sorry, I mustn't have hung the phone up earlier...and I asked why she hadn't just hung up? The connection would have eventually broken. Her reply will stay with me forever... "because I didn't want you to be alone". That's the kind of friend Jane was. Many describe her as being one tough cookie...I always knew her as my port in a storm. The one who would laugh with me when times were good, and cry with me when they weren't. Peace on your journey my dear friend...until we meet again
