Obituary for Sherman Edward "Sherm" Huff

KENNEBUNK Sherman Edward Huff, 73, a longtime resident of Kennebunk, died Friday, May 12, 2017 at his residence.

Sherm was born July 12, 1943 in Biddeford, the son of Cecil and Alice Currier Huff, and is a graduate of Kennebunk High School, class of 1961. Following graduation, he enlisted in the US Navy, serving 3 tours in Vietnam as a radioman.

Upon his discharge, he returned stateside, briefly residing in California before returning to Kennebunk, where he met his future wife, Mary Maloney, whom he married in 1972. He operated his own masonry business for many years before branching out to include foundation installations. He also built cement statuary, which he continued to build in his retirement.

He is survived by his wife Mary Huff of Kennebunk, four sons Sam Huff of Winchester, CA, Derek Huff of Lyman, Brian Huff of Arundel and Luke Huff of Kennebunk, a daughter Lindsay Huff of Mexico, a sister Carley Perry of Kissimmee, FL, and 4 grandchildren.

Services will be private. Interment will be in Pine grove Cemetery, West Kennebunk
