Caroline Virginia Cluff, 78 years, of Kennebunkport died September 24, 2017 at Seal Rock Health Care following a period of declining health.

Caroline was born January 26, 1939 in Buxton, ME a daughter of Frank and Thelma Pennell Rowe. Caroline worked for many years as the manager for Deering Family Restaurants working in several locations. She also owned her own businesses, Spring Hill Farm and Carol’s Homemade, providing canned vegetables, fruit, jellies and jams. On May 30th, 1957, Caroline married Arthur Allen Cluff, Sr. and celebrated 42 years together until his passing in 1999.

Caroline loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening and all of nature. She also enjoyed collecting stamps. She was involved in the Boy Scouts, starting as a den mother for the Cub Scouts and finishing her volunteering as a commissioner for the Boy Scouts of America.

In addition to her husband, Arthur, Caroline was predeceased by her brothers, Freddie and Barry Rowe.

Caroline will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Arthur ‘Allen’ Cluff, Jr. and his wife, Dolores, of Hampton, CT, Russell Cluff of Biddeford and Todd Cluff and his wife, Cheri, of Kennebunkport; her daughters, Debra Barbour and her husband, Raymond, of South Windsor, CT and Teri Williams and her husband, Andrew, of North Waterboro, ME; her brothers, David Rowe of ME and Gene Rowe of MA; her grandchildren, Hope Williams, Brian Williams, Grace Williams and Ellie Cluff; and her long term companion, Richard Kilton.

Friends may visit on Sunday, October 1, 2017 from 12 – 2 pm at Bibber Memorial Chapel, 67 Summer Street, Kennebunk, ME with a memorial service celebrated immediately afterwards at the funeral home at 2 pm.
