Norma  Elizabeth  Dill (Taylor)
Norma Elizabeth Dill, a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and friend, passed away at the age of 84 on Wednesday, September 26, 2018, in Lakewood, Colorado.
In February 1934, Norma was born the seventh of eight children to William and Agnes Taylor. She was born in Kennebunk, Maine.
Norma married Fred A. Starkey in 1955. They had five children together; Suzanne, James, Tina, Bryan, and Larry. Norma and Fred resided in New Mexico and were married for nineteen years when Fred passed away.
Norma returned to Maine where she met Donald A. Dill. Norma and Donald married in November 1982. After retirement, Norma and Donald headed out West to New Mexico and eventually to Colorado to be closer to their children and grandchildren. The two of them enjoyed a love of lighthouses, raising lovebirds, watching television together, taking long walks, and spending time with family. Norma was happiest when enjoying the company of friends and doting on her family.
Norma was preceded in death by husband, Fred A. Starkey, husband, Donald A. Dill, parents, William and Agnes Taylor, brothers: Ernest Taylor, Clayton Taylor, Sonny Taylor, and James Taylor and sisters: Audrey Bellacome, and Nancy Whitten.
Norma is remembered with love by her sister, Anne Powers (James), her five children and their spouses; Suzanne Simmons (James), James Starkey (Myrna), Tina Nielson, Bryan Starkey (Lori), and Larry Starkey (Barbara), her eighteen grandchildren; Tammy, Kristy, Mark, Julie, Brian, Jason, Jessica, Jenna, Lisa, Dustin, Amanda, Crystal, Sherry, Chad, Dean, Amanda, Dylan, and Matthew. Her legacy includes loving and collecting photos of her eighteen grandchildren, forty-eight great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Service was held in Lakewood, CO on October 5, 2018. A Graveside Committal Service will be held on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in Hope Cemetery, Kennebunk. Reverend Burton S. Howe presiding. Norma’s favorite colors are peach and pink. She would be honored for you to adorn yourself in one of these colors.
