My best male friend

It is so difficult to put into words what Tony meant and still means to me. We met in a snack bar at Salem State and connected as friends immediately. We shared WAY too much info about our lives; but isn't that what true friends do. We laughed and cried together many times. Having a place in Maine, I invited Tony to visit. Who knew that he would love it enough to buy a place and move to Wells before long? I was thrilled, and we continued to share more good times. He was a class act and you could take him anywhere. He could talk to anybody and make them laugh and enjoy his company always. He and my mother had a special relationship and certainly loved each other. She wanted me to marry Tony. I told her it just wasn't in the cards....... But I know that Tony and I had true caring for each other. I am so happy that I spoke to him a few weeks before he passed, and that my last words were "hey, love ya". His response: "I know". Oh Tony, I will miss you. I hope that you will give me a sign on how things are beyond the blue horizon.
