Condolence: I have had a long relationshoip with Geoff. His first job was as an associate at. My firm, and we worked closely for two plus years on my first big case. We both learned a lot. Our adversary was one of the best lawyers in n.j. And the case triggered many war stories when we crossed pathes.
I followed his career with pride and increasing respect up the judicial ladder. Of course he always offered to recuse. Himself when I was before him but his reputation for honesty, integrity, intellectual prowess and courtesy was such that one took him up.
To me his greatest accomplishment was his special master,s repotting to the N.J.. Supreme Courton eye witness testimony.
It triggered great reforms for the administration of criminal justice in N.J. And thruout the country.
With him retired in Maine and I in Vt. We did manage to get together at least once and I. Still fave his e mail address.
History will record him as one of the great contributors to N.J. Legalll history.
